About

I love entrepreneurism! The ability to take an idea – a dream – and build it into something tangible is simply amazing. I’ve been studying businesses since I was a kid, watching and studying what works and what doesn’t. Over the years, I’ve worked in all size businesses from major corporations down to mom & pop shops.

For more than a decade, I’ve been doing various forms of marketing, including graphic design, copywriting for print and radio, business strategy and even some web development. Right now, I work during the day for a healthcare-related company doing graphic design as well as Internet and intranet development. In my spare time, I study history &business, I dabble a bit in politics, and I spend time with my family. I am intrigued by social networking, “new media” and how the Internet can empower people by delivering information whenever and wherever they need it. For fun, I run an online directory of US historic sites and recently helped develop a location-based iPhone game which should be out on the market in the next 6 months.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that, while working for big corporations can provide a steady paycheck, working in startup or entrepreneurial environments is way more exciting and rewarding. In that vein, I’m always looking for a good team to work with to create something awesome. Seek me out if you:

  • Have a great idea that you need help implementing (especially web-related)
  • Need a new perspective on your plan or product
  • Need someone who can think big or see things from a higher perspective
  • Need someone who can help you break down you big idea into manageable pieces
  • Need someone who can help you bring it to the web
  • Have an immense amount of integrity and ambition

Pass me over if you:

  • Are looking for money from me
  • Are going to monetize your business through “ad revenue” and “affiliate marketing”
  • Have the next Google (There’s already a Google. We don’t need another.) Are looking for an employee
  • Think of money/shares first and teams/cool products second (or fifth or thirteenth)
  • Simply want someone to “do it for you”
  • Have a dysfunctional team

Excuse me now while I roll up my sleeves and go build something cool!
